People are the Most Important Factor for NCDC
It is easy to declare that people are the most important factor, but what does it mean in practice? From the foundation of the company, every employee has brought with them new and interesting characteristics that are not necessarily connected with the company’s projects. In trying to use this inspiration as much as possible, the NCDC culture has evolved.
Half-marathon
Every year, all staff members go abroad on a company trip. The highlight of this is non obligatory participation in a half-marathon (including The Boss – the originator). Those not running are expected to cheer the participants along the route.
We choose a half-marathon in a different city every year as it is an opportunity for sightseeing and spending time with colleagues outside the work environment.
Family Integration
Every year, the NCDC staff go on a trip with the families to an unusual place to spend time together and have fun. We may take a partner and children. The family integration trip includes various activities and sports, e.g. paintball, horse-riding, absailing, bungee jumping etc.
Table Soccer and Darts
Individuals who work with computers can have a higher risk of problems associated with the wrists, arms, neck and back, for example.
These can be avoided by taking Health and Safety breaks and varying one’s tasks during the day. In NCDC, staff members can play table soccer (fossball) or darts for physical relaxation.
Programmer’s Day and Sys-Admin Appreciation Day
On the 256th day of the year, we celebrate Programmer’s Day. On System Administrator Appreciation Day our Admins are given presents.
Blood Donations
“Blood Donation Day” is for volunteers who want to help those in need. In total, NCDC staff have donated more than 20 litres of blood.
Football
An NCDC team plays football as a member of the Szczecin Amateurs League.
